PTFE-beschichtetes Fiberglasgewebe (für Flächentragwerke)
MUNICH BUS AND TAXI TERMINAL Hightex

The Munich airport project is made from a 2,200m² white PTFE/glass membrane which spans the bus and taxi terminals as well as the adjacent footpath. The concept of the architect Koch and Partners is designed to resemble an aircraft wing, covered on both sides with membrane material.

Clamping of the individual membrane bays is linear. The individual elements have widths ranging between 4,5m - 11.2m and 57,6m - 101.8m. The roof provides not only optimum protection against rain and sun, but also enhances a pleasant atmosphere of ambient light for the waiting passengers.

Another application where Hightex's position as a world leader in creating tensile structures and fabric architecture in tensioned membranes such as PTFE, PVC, and ETFE is realised.
