DOUBLE SLOPE Mabo Prefabbricati

This system identifies a ten years tradition of prefabrication of northern Italy; the cross-slope beam is till today the best solution for many types of building. Thanks to its inclination, it can be used also in very snowy regions, and permits the penetration of zenith light. The beam is completed with TT tiles placed inclined. The waterproofing and insulation are made in place.
The ?double-slope? system is named after the beam representing its main element, that is the prestressed concrete beam with a double inclination and a "I" shaped section, connected to rectangular sections at the extremities and inclined extrados with a slope from 10% to 12%.
The beam is classified in two typologies according to its dimensions and performances: ?light series? and ?heavy series?. The I shaped transversal section changes according to the length and capacity and varies from 40-10-28 cm for the light series to 50-12-50 cm for the heavy series.
The standard fire resistance is R 90', but can reaches R 120' with additional reinforcements. The handling takes place through two or four lifting hooks placed according to the length of the beam. The fixing of the supporting structures is realized with shadow gaps and galvanized bolts. Once the beam fixed, the top cover prestressed concrete TT tiles are positioned. The double-slope system, giving as result an inclined extrados (hut roof), is completed in place. So the insulating layer and the waterproofing can vary according to the use of the building and to the climatic characteristics of the place.
