Product Details: Modular salt wall kit designed as a hanging system for easy, quick, and clean installation of a salt wall. The salt bricks are made from pure, translucent rock salt (halite) and are simply hung into a grid on the wall. Salt Color: Red salt (Rotsalz) – color spectrum ranges from pink to orange to dark red, with stones featuring single or multiple tones and beautiful marbled structures, crystal salt, and clay inclusions. The red color comes from tiny amounts of iron oxide. Origin: The red salt comes from the Salt Range in Pakistan. Dimensions: The system is available in various sizes. The smallest unit measures 50 x 50 cm. Width and height can be selected in 50 cm increments, allowing the wall to be expanded in any direction. Each wall consists of two types of salt bricks: main brick (20x10x5 cm) and edge brick (10x10x5 cm). The edge brick is used only at the edge. When expanding, edge bricks are replaced by main bricks and moved to the new edge. The joint between stones is about 2.4 mm wide, resulting in slightly larger overall dimensions. The bricks are hung in a bond pattern, with all four edges of the visible side beveled at a 45-degree angle, 5 mm wide. Assembly: Each module requires six holders (four for the smallest module) to be screwed to the wall, to which a support grid is attached. Each salt brick has two angled holes for threaded pins, which are used to hang the bricks in the grid. All metal parts are made of rust- and acid-free stainless steel. Light-transmitting foam strips (Oeko-Tex certified) are inserted between the stones as joint fillers, creating a beautiful effect, especially when backlit. The joints and salt stones glow warmly, and unpleasant light flashes are avoided. The kit is designed as a hanging system and can be placed freely on the wall like a picture, with no need for a base or to build up from the floor. No adhesive is required, so there are no emissions. The wall can be easily dismantled and reassembled elsewhere. Threaded pins should remain in the bricks to avoid damaging the salt. A detailed assembly manual is included.
