Salzwand Komplettbausatz Weißsalz 50 x 100 cm Salzwandsystem This modular salt wall kit is designed as a hanging system for the simple, quick, and clean assembly of a salt wall. The salt bricks are made from pure, translucent rock salt (halite) and are simply hung into a grid on the wall. White Salt The coloration ranges from a very light gray tone to white with a hint of orange in the white salt. White salt consists of many small, interlocked clear salt crystals, which together appear white due to light refraction, similar to snow, where the snow crystals made of many transparent, tiny ice crystals also appear white. Origin: The white salt comes from the Salt Range in Pakistan. Dimensions The salt wall system is available in various sizes. The smallest unit measures 50 x 50 centimeters. The width and height can therefore be selected in increments of 50 centimeters. The salt wall can thus be expanded in any direction at any time, both sideways and up or down. Each salt wall consists of two different salt bricks: the main brick (20x10x5 cm) and the half-sized edge brick (10x10x5 cm). The edge brick is only used at the edge. If you want to enlarge your salt wall sideways, the edge bricks are replaced by main bricks and the edge bricks move to the new edge. The joint between the bricks is about 2.4 mm wide, resulting in slightly larger overall dimensions in width and height. The bricks are hung in a bond, as in real masonry. Each brick has four beveled edges on the visible side with a five-millimeter wide 45-degree chamfer. Back Plate with Covers The back plate also serves as a drilling template, making the assembly of the salt wall effortless. The SALUX® warm light boards, an extra-flat power supply, and a through-hole for the power connection are located on the back plate. Several modules are electrically connected using a connecting cable, allowing up to ten modules to be supplied with a single power connection. The salt wall requires a 230-volt power connection. Planning aid with exact dimensions is available. Side covers are located on the left and right of the salt wall as visual protection, and one or more top covers as dust protection. Assembly For each salt wall module, six holders – or only four for the smallest module – are screwed to the wall, to which a carrying grid is attached. Each salt brick has two angled holes into which threaded rods are screwed, allowing the bricks to be hung into the grid. All metal parts are made of rust- and acid-free stainless steel. Light-transmitting foam strips made of Oeko-Tex certified foam are clamped between the bricks as joint fillers. This looks beautiful, especially when the salt wall is backlit, as there are no disturbing shadows. The joints now shine together with the salt bricks in a warm light tone. In addition, unpleasant light flashes for the eyes are avoided, which occur when looking directly through a joint into a light source. The salt wall kit is designed as a hanging system and can therefore be placed freely on the wall like a picture; a base or raising the salt bricks from the floor is not necessary. Since no adhesive is required, there are also no emissions. The salt wall can be easily dismantled and reassembled elsewhere. The threaded rods should then remain in the salt bricks to prevent the salt from breaking out due to repeated screwing in and out. A detailed assembly manual is included.
